Have a Safe & Fun Holiday!

Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday! I know many of you are preparing for Labor Day weekend so I wanted to do a quick post inspired by it. I'm trying to become more precise with dotting. I used Avon's Empower dark blue as the base and some red and white accents. My dots came out a little better, but still need work, lol. Hope it inspires your holiday mani. Enjoy and be safe!!!

Personal Challenge-Klean Color, LA Colors,Maybelline Bold Gold, and Milani

Hello Everyone! So today I just have some quick swatches for your from my personal challenge. Enjoy! Klean Color The first comes from Klean Color. These are clear holo glitter polishes. To best show you their colors I used a white base. These polishes are best used as top coats, maybe on matching colors. I like these polishes, the only thing is that the smell is soooo strong. Of course I like the teal and pink, but I also kinda dig the black. You can purchase these from their website, ebay, beauty supply stores, etc.,for about $3.50. Klean Color Chunky Holo Teal, Chunky Holo Candy, Chunky Holo Black and Chunky Holo Purple LA Colors This is the only color I have from LA Colors. I got this from Family Dollar, the price couldn't have been more than $2.00. It's a sheer pink, with a little shimmer. I like to use this color when I want a clean natural look for my nails. I also use it for my base with my french manicures. LA Colors Color Craze Maybelli...

And the Winner Is.....

a Rafflecopter giveaway Congratulations Kristen. Yay!!!!! Thank you to everyone who participated in my first giveaway :-) I really appreciate your support and taking time to view my little corner of the world. I also appreciate all of the feedback and enjoyed hearing about your favorite brands. Don't worry, there will be more to come. So stay tuned! : -)

Personal Challenge-Color Club, Cacique, Del Sol & Essie Swatch & Review

Color Club I really love Color Clubs polishes (I purposely put these first, lol). The colors seem to always be right on point! They can range in prices depending where you shop. At Bed Bath & Beyond they start at $3.99. At a drugstore they might start at $5.  I don't like how quickly they clump. A brand new polish can get a little gooey if your not careful. Other than that, I have no complaints!!! The colors below are Coral Cascade, a beautiful creamy, or as I like to say jelly, orange; Revvvolution (Femme Fatale Collection) a fierce and shiny holo black with various glitter colors; Burst Thing's First, an almost neon crackle pink. Color Club-Coral Cascade Color Club-Coral Cascade Color Club-Revvvolution (Holographic) Color Club-Burst Thing's First Fractured Polish (Green is Color Club Age of Aquarius Previously Swatched) Cacique This is the only color I have from Cacique. This is actually my moms, I'm not sure how much she purchased it for. I ...

Superhero!

Happy Saturday!!!! Aside from loving nail polish, I also love to decorate. My best friend and I are a great team when its comes to decorating and we especially love when the theme isn't so traditional. My inspiration for my nails today comes from a picture of a super hero/justice league event we did.  The base color is NYC In a New York Minute Times Square. I will swatch/review this without any designs later, but of course I love it :-)

Personal Challenge-Absolute! & Avon Nailwear Pro Polish Swatch & Review

Absolute! These two colors don't have a name. They are simply a pastel pink and pastel purple. I buy these regularly. So it's safe to say these are part of my favorites! They are so pretty. These are very thick and creamy and can clump easily, but you can thin it out with some nail polish remover. They are $1.99 at my local beauty supply. These are a few of Absolutes Metallic Crackles. The names are simply (left to right) lilac, blue, pink, silver. They are very pretty. You have to be careful when applying them, but I think that's with any crackle. You can't go over the same spot twice (meaning you can't put a layer of crackle over a layer of crackle), you won't see any crackle effect. The only thing I don't like is that these are little high for Absolute!, $5.99 on their website.   Avon I love these polishes, you've seen them before in my water marble mani and my so empowered post. They go on smoothly and are thick, but not overly, so ...

My Personal Swatch/Review Challenge

Hello Everyone!!! I hope you all are having a great day full of smiles!!!  I was thinking...I haven't done swatches/reviews of all the nail polishes that I have in my collection. I want to share them with you all so that you know what colors/brands I'm starting out with. So, I've given myself the task of swatching all of the polishes I haven't yet done, by brand, before I can purchase any new ones!!!! So join me, first up is Absolute! and Avon I will be posting pics tomorrow of all the colors I have by these brands. :-) Here's a list of all the brands I currently have, 82 polishes: Absolute! Watermelon Design-Ruby Kisses Red Cameo

Hi!!!! Today I wanted to show you my watermelon  mani/pedi I did. I was inspired by Ruby Kisses' Red Cameo . It's hard for me to find a red nail polish that I like on my nails. This one is so pretty. It looks a little darker in the bottle, but once I applied my top coat it became brighter, almost like a candy. I also liked that it went on very smoothly, and I only needed to use one coat. This is a great way to wear red if you've ever wanted to try it!

How to Make Nail Polish Tutorial

Hello Everyone!!! Have you ever wanted a certain nail polish color and just couldn't find it?  Try creating your own! It's quick and easy. All you need is a bottle of clear polish and any color eye shadow. Imagine the possibilities! To create this color polish I used Copper Chic eye shadow by Maybelline.

Bowtied!

Happy Saturday...Yay!!! So, here's a little design I did. I was trying to accomplish a fun sweater and bowtie look. Ahhhh, not sure I accomplished that, but I still love the colors, lol! I used a white by Sinful Colors, the grey is NYC Sidewalkers (love this stuff), the yellow is Electric by Revlon, and the blue and purple are nail art by Kiss.

Little Flower Garden

Hello Everyone! Here's another attempt I made at using the 3D nail art. I created a little flower garden. I'm in love with NYC's Lincoln Square Lavender, so I used that here as the base. I used some shredded glitter for the grass, added some butterflies and flowers. NYC In a New York Minute Lincoln Square Lavender

All Eyes

Hi Everyone! This mani is inspired by Ivana Thinks Pink. It's from Sophy Robson for the Giles spring/summer 2011 fashion show. I did it using Revlon's Minted and Avon's Loving Lavender. This makes me smile every time I look at it. Enjoy!  : )

3D Nail Art

Happy Monday! Today, I want to show you a simple 3D nail art design I tried. Here, I used a white polish by NYC and Essie's Sew Psyched for my dots. I'm gonna try to do something a little brighter and using more 3D art, its gonna take some patience, lol. Enjoy!

Your Pics!

Here's another gorgeous mani done by my bestie. Here, the inspiration comes from Ivana over at Ivana Thinks Pink, you can check her out here.  This look comes from the Chanel Fall 2012 fashion show. The colors used are Maybelline Bold Gold, and In a New York Minute Lincoln Square Lavender. Amazing!

Revlon Moisture Stay Paraffin Bath

I've never gotten a paraffin manicure at the salon, so I'm not sure of the cost. However, I bet in the long run it would cost more than owning your own personal paraffin bath! Here is one my bestie let me borrow. It's by Revlon. The cost is around $45. This thing is AMAZING! You dip your hands in the heated wax, then place them in the provided plastic bags for a few minutes and then peel off. My hands were sooooo shiny and soft afterwards and the fragrance was very nice. I gotta get one!!!!

Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Kit

Hello everyone! Today I have a few things I want to post, so bare with me! Here's a pic of me using the Salon Express Nail Art Stamping kit. It was about $10. You can get these pretty much anywhere (Family Dollar, Micheal's, Bed Bath & Beyond). It comes with 5 design plates, a stamper, scraper, and plate holder. I used it to stamp this white flower. It came out ok. It looks like a stamped design. I think this is a handy inexpensive tool to create designs on your own nails. There are other stamper kits like Konad, which from what I hear is great, but it is more expensive.
