Personal Challenge-Wet n' Wild

I'm finally done! I've swatched all of my old polishes! I'm really glad I decided to do this, because otherwise some of these polishes would have never been used. Here are the last of them. Wet n' Wild Megalast and Spoiled. Wet n Wild Megalast I can't remember how much I paid for the Megalast. I don't believe I paid more than $1.50 for it, because of the brand and packaging. It's only .3 oz and they have a new bottle now, that holds .45 oz for $1.99. This color is Tropicalia . This is one of those colors I probably never would have tried before this challenge. It's so small that I didn't even know I had it until I organized my polishes. The color is so pretty though. The name suits it well. It's like a creamy coral polish. It dried pretty quickly too. Wet n Wild Megalast Tropicalia Wet n Wild Spoiled The Spolied polishes are $1.99 at CVS. This first color is called Paying with Platinum . I looooove this color. It's a purple chro

Personal Challenge -Sinful Colors

Hi there!!! It's such a lovely Sunday. I hope you all are enjoying it with smiles :-) This is the second to last swatch for my personal challenge. The last one I will post later today. I want to be done with it already so that I can move onward to some of my new polishes!   Here are the Sinful Colors I have. These polishes are very affordable at $1.98 at almost any Wal-Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, CVS, etc. They have a good array of colors too. The first one is Easy Going . It's a pretty pale pink color, very creamy. The first coat doesn't go on too well, but the polish evens out nicely with a second coat, and top coat. This is one of those colors I like to wear when I want to feel mature, lol. It's a great color for work. The second is Out Of This World . This is a sheer silver glitter polish that has a futuristic feel. You will need to use two coats to make it pop. I bought this color to use in some sort of design with other colors, not certain I would wear it al

Halloween Nails

Happy Saturday Guys & Ghouls!!!   For some reason I was feeling the Halloween spirit. I'm usually not big on the holiday, but I do enjoy the candy :-) Anyways, I wanted to try to do something in case some of you like to dress your nails up too! Here are just some cute little ghosts and a spider. I used Nicka K's Noir as the base for the ghosts. Then I applied a coat of Wet n' Wild's Trust Fund Baby from their Spoiled collection. This is a really pretty fall glitter polish. It has small colorful glitter hexagons. I'm gonna swatch this by itself tomorrow so you can get a good look at it. I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the ghosts. I made an outline of a ghost and just filled it in. Then I took the Noir with a dotting tool and applied it in a downward motion for the eyes, and added a large dot for the mouth. The base for the spider is NYCs In a New York Minute Moma. I made a large black dot first for the spider's head, then used a thin brush and

Me and My Coca-Cola

Here is something else I worked on...I feel I owe it to you lovelies to put two posts up again :-)   This is me trying something different, by display my everlasting love for Coca-Cola (sigh). It's really deep though. I love this stuff, please do not give me a Pepsi, no Cherry Coke, or any other soda. I gotta have my Wawa Green Tea and my Coca Cola (don't judge me, LOL) :-) I used Ruby Kisses Red Cameo  and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Twisted French Manicure

TGIF!!!!!! Yay...its Friday :-)   I hope you all had a good week. Mine was not bad, but there were some challenges. If you had any challenges or frustrations this week, BREATH and SMILE, we made it!!!!   I've learned so much since starting this blog but I still have a looooooong way to go! I'm enjoying it thus far. I've met some great people, and have seen some extraordinary talent. I'm also amazed by the support, it's so gorgeous, lol.   Ok, enough of me blabbing, I can talk for hours when I'm sleepy. This is something that I did a few days ago. I was inspired by my nail art brush. It's a floral pattern, some pinks, purples, greens, and a hint of gold. I used too much purple, but I still like the look of it. Especially since according to Bazaar french manicures with a little pizazz are supposed to be the it thing this fall ( you can view the article here ). This is my extremely extra translation. I hope you like and if you don't feel free t

Essie Da Bush

Since I missed a few days I wanted to put something else up to see what you think. I wanted to use Essie’s Da Bush again. It’s a very lovely pale green color. I matched it up with NYC In A New York Minute Lincoln Square Lavender , and Sinful Colors Easy Going . There was nothing in particular that inspired this. I just didn’t want too much going on since I really loved the way Da Bush looked, but me being me needed just a little bit of color My bow is a little off, but the colors are so pretty I didn’t mind.

My Lashes and My Lip Gloss

Hey lovelies! Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a few days. It’s been a crazy week. Going forward I will try to stick with my daily posts so we can keep in touch!!! I did try a few things out though. Here’s a something I did inspired by a review that Ashley Elizabeth did on Magnifibres . I love long, beautiful lashes. Mine are very sparse, lol. So, I’m always looking for new products, that really live up to making lashes look longer and fuller. With that being said, I decided to put some lashes on my nails!!! J It came out ok. I also tried to do some pink lips inspired by my MAC Viva Glam Gaga lip glass. I used Ruby Kisses Teal Envy as the base. The pink of course is Sweet Thing. The white is Sally Hansen's Polar Bare  and the black Nicka K Noir.   I love the colors together. What’s your favorite lash extending mascara and lip gloss?

Personal Swatch Challenge-OPI & Revlon

Hey lovelies! I had to back-track with my personal challenge. I've finally gotten my onlyest OPI nail polish back from my sister, so now I can show you! I also completely forgot about Revlon :-( So, just to recap, I added the list I started out with. Now, keep in mind that this list has since grown, because I actually failed at not buying any new polishes a loooong time ago :-/ However, I have to finish what I started :-) I plan on updating this list with my newbies and posting it on a separate page in the near future. Also, I have some new things coming up. I'm so excited about them and can't wait to share, stay tuned :-) OPI Pink-ing of You This color is gorg!!! My mom had actually given this polish to me, so I'm not sure how much she paid for it. When I did a search the price was $5.55 on Amazon. This color is so exquisite. It's a creamy bubblegum pink, but not too bright. I applied two coats on my nails. The first coat was a little streaky but the polish even

My Toes & My Betsy Johnson's

It's a nice day outside and may be one of the last chances I get to wear my sandles. I wanted  my pedi to be fun and cute like my shoes. My sister hates when I put up pictures of my toes. She gets so grossed out (cracking up). Anyway, let's try to stay focused on the polish, lol. I used Sally Hansen's Polar Bare as the base for the cherries. I made the cherries by using a dotting tool. Then I took a thin brush to add the green stem and white highlights. I used Ruby Kisses' Red Cameo as the base for the dots and Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the actual dots. Hope you likey :-)

Thank you!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has visited my little site and has decided to join me in my journey. You all keep this blog going and I hope you enjoy some part of it! XOXO

My Nails & My Yak Pak

Happy Friday!!!!   Today's mani is inspired very loosely by a bag I saw while shopping in Marshall's. I tried to do the hearts but they just wouldn't come out right. So, I decided to go with half moons and good old dots, lol!!! I used Nicka K's Noir for the black base. The colors, starting with the thumb, are Nicka K's Pastel Lime Green , Revlon's Electric , Ruby Kisses' Sweet Thing , Ruby Kisses' Blues Clue , and Ruby Kisses' Tangerine . Enjoy and have a safe and polished weekend!!!!

Your Pics!!!

Hi friends! I get really excited when you all send me pics of your self-created manis. I'm inspired by your taking this journey with me! I also love to see your creativity and enjoy posting it for others to see! Here is a nautical mani done by my bestie. I think this is such a mature and clean look for a nautical mani. I really like that she switched it up and used a hot pink instead of red too. Love!!!

Orly Decades of Dysfunction

Hey, Hey, Hey, lol. Happy Wednesday!!! Yeah…sooooo, last night I was eyeing my Orly Decades of Dysfunction polish super hard. This is one of the polishes I’d gotten on sale at Sally’s. I was trying not to use it yet, not sure why :-/ but, I just couldn’t resist. I scanned my other nail polishes and the NYC In a New York Minute Battery Park Purple said pick me, lol!!! So, I started with those two colors.   Once I put the purple on, I knew I needed Sinful Colors’ Snow Me White , and the white led to Maybelline’s Bold Gold , but then I wanted some brights too and Rimmel’s Sunset Orange and Cacique’s Seafoam joined!!! Ahhh, the result, I love! It has sort of a retro feel to it.  I’ve also added pics to show the progression of this mani. Which would you prefer? Would you have stopped or kept going? J What I used
