My Halloween Mani-Poison Ivy

Trick or Treat !!!! So, I've been trying to decide how I wanted to do my nails for Halloween and there were so many options. I started to think about if I were to dress up (which I don't) what would I dress up as. Then I remembered the superhero wedding my bestie and I did and one of the bridesmaids was Poison Ivy. I loved her costume! So, I found this pic and chose it as my inspiration. The mani is a little off and weird but at least the colors are there, lol :-) !!! A Little Sunshine!

Hi Everyone! I hope you all made it safely through the storm!!! We lost power but nothing major. It's still gloomy and raining, so I decided to do something with a little sunshine and bright skies! When I finished it reminded me of the Care Bears, then upside down it looked a little like the mushroom from Super Mario Brothers, lol :-). Either way, this made me smile and I really had fun doing this. I used Ruby Kisses Blues Clue . I hope you likey! XOXO

China Glaze Fairy Dust over NYC Park Ave

Hi Everyone! I am so in love with Park Ave from NYC. I've been wearing it all week and just didn't want to take it off! So, I decided to try it out with a new polish I got by China Glaze called Fairy Dust . It is probably the best glitter top coat I have. It is a very fine holo glitter polish. It is so subtle but so gorgeous! I think this will be a great top coat over any color. Here, I used one coat of Fairy Dust  over Park Ave. I added some googly eyes and stripes, which were loosely inspired by my Victoria's Secret box. The pink is Essie's Fondola Gondola . Hope you enjoy! I will be back tomorrow :-) Here's what it looked like before the eyes, gorgeous! :-)

NYC In A New York Minute Park Ave

Hey Loves!!! I hope you all had a great weekend! Here is another NYC In A New York Minute polish I want to show you. This one is called Park Ave. I loooooooove this so much. I initially bought this only because it was the only NYC on the shelf that I didn't have. I wasn't really in love with it, but when I applied one coat of this gorgeous grey polish with purple undertones this was the result. I didn't want to apply a second coat. I didn't want to overshadow the polish with any decor either. I think I will wear this for a few days, it's too gorgeous!

And The Winner Is!!!!

Thank you to everyone who participated in my Sharing the Love Halloween Giveaway!!! There will be more giveaways to come so please stay tuned. Without further ado, the winner of the OPI So So Skullicious mini set is Kristine J. of Pink and Polished Nails ! Congratulations Kristine!!!!      a Rafflecopter giveaway

NYC In A New York Minute West Village

Hey, hey, hey!!!!   Polishing my nails is a GREAT stress reliever!!! I've had a few things on my mind lately and I'm so glad I have this as a hobby! K...enough of the sad stuff. Here's another NYC In A New York Minute polish that I have. This one is called West Village . It's gorgeous navy blue, with a hint of purple shimmer. I love this polish so much, maybe because it's blue :-) I wanted to start playing with my new nail art so I decided to add a couple beads to the sides of my nails. I thought this would be the easiest way to go, but naaaaah!! These little things are so tempermental. I've used them before on my whole nail, but I just kinda rolled my nail in them. Trying to place them individually is a different story. I do like how this came out though :-)

Influenster 2012 Beauty Blogger Vox Box Review Part 1

Happy Saturday!!!!!   Today, I have to show you the first installment of my review of the Influenster 2012 Beauty Blogger Vox Box. The first products I wanna discuss are the Vitabath Fruit Fanatic Fragrance Mist and the EBOOST Daily Health Booster in orange flavor.   Vitabath Fruit Fanatic Green Apple & White Lily Fragrance Mist When I initially tried this product I was a bit overwhelmed. It almost smelled like air freshner rather than a body spray. I'm not a body spray type of person though, I prefer a nice perfume. I also think my initial reaction was because I sprayed too much. The green apple and white lilly is a strong combination. So, I tried it again the following day after a shower, only spraying very little. It was actually quite nice. It had a clean, crisp smell to it. I also loved that it has vitamins and antioxidants. My skin actually felt a little softer.   My verdict This is something that I'd put on at night, after a bath or shower. I don'

Addicted to OPI-Yum Making Histo-Riri Nail Exhibition

Hey loves! Addicted to OPI-yum came up with a gorgeous idea to have a nail exhibition inspired by Rihanna! I think this is soooo cool. Just create a Rihanna inspired look and submit your post to Addicted to OPI-yum . The look I did is inspired by a leopard mani I saw Rihanna rocking in a photo on Glamour.com . I don't have any bling to put on, so I just added some red. I also decided to do stiletto/pointy nails since Rihanna normally wears hers that way :-) The base color is Sinful Colors Easy Going .

Cheetah nails using China Glaze Flying Dragon (Neon)

Hey everybody! I got this polish from Sally's a while back and haven't yet used it, so I wanted to give it a try. It's called Flying Dragon . It's a purple neon polish with some subtle blue and pink glitters.  My sister has been telling me I need to try cheetah print... so here's my first attempt, lol! It's a little messy but I still love the overall look :-). I used the pink neon Cynthia Rowley polish and Color Club's Tweet Me . Whatcha think? Have you tried cheetah on your nails?

Influenster Beauty Blogger Vox Box 2012

Two Firsts: Last week I got an e-mail from Influenster saying that I would receive their 2012 Beauty Blogger Vox Box. I was like, say whaaaaat!!!! Couldn't believe it. My first ever products to review were being sent to me. I got them yesterday and it made me both nervous and happy. I knew I was gonna do a video to show you ladies and gents the stuff they sent, but sheesh, doing a video is a first for me too, I would never had done this prior to blogging, too scared. So, without further ado, before I back out, I'd like to really introduce myself to you all. I will have some detailed posts once I have a chance to use this stuff. AHHHHHHHH!!! Ok, I'm good.

My First Ipsy Bag!!!

Hey lovelies!   Sorry I didn't put this up last night as promised, I actually went to bed a bit early :-)   So, I was looking around for a good monthly beauty box/bag to order. I want to get more into make-up and other health and beauty products. I'm not very good at make-up and don't know what I'm doing when it comes to buying it. I opted for two companies, Birchbox, and this one Ipsy (formerly My Glam). They are both $10 a month with free shipping.   My Ipsy bag is the first to arrive and below is what the packaging looked like. It came in a pretty hot pink foil/bubble wrap. I liked the color, but not the bag too much, but hey, what does it really matter right?   Inside the package was this cute little black and white pouch. This is nice to carry make-up or other small items in. There were five items inside. The first is a Lip Bomb Glossy Lacquer Stain by Mirenesse. It is a pretty red color, but wait, the surprise is that it is mint scented!

NYC Big City Dazzle over NYC Battery Park Purple

Hi!!!!   Here's a quick mani I did using a new NYC glitter polish I got over the weekend. I used NYC Battery Park Purple as the base coat, because I never really swatched this one. I then added two coats of NYC Big City Dazzle . It's a cute polish with purple, pink, blue, red, and silver glitters. I think I like the Battery Park Purple by itself though, :-).   I'll be back later this evening to show you what I got in my first ever Ipsy bag :-)!!!!
